Malaysia - Putrajaya Convention Centre is country's largest convention centre in the making. The prestigious building incorporates various energy saving features. One of which is "Displacement Air System" for air conditioning system of Plenary Hall.

The supply air is supplied near ground level and the return air leaves the conditioned space near the ceiling level. The cold air being heavier, hangs down in the space, thus making a stratified colder lower zone and a warmer upper zone.

In such designs, since supply air temperature is nearly 18 deg.C humidity control often becomes a problem.

Bry-Air supplied Ecofresh Heat Recovery Wheels to overcome this, which serve two purposes.

1. Provide pre-cooling of fresh air by utilizing the exhaust air leaving the system. Ecofresh Enthalpy wheels do this job wonderfully.

2. Provide RH control using Ecofresh Sensible Recovery Wheels in supply air stream.

By "innovative application engineering", for the Plenary Hall alone, Bry-Air helped to reduce the overall operating cost by nearly RM500,000.00 p.a. (App 4000 hrs operation) and overall savings for entire project, work out to more than RM1.25 million p.a.

By above savings it is clear that the investment on the entire system will be paid back to the owners in nearly six months. In coming 10 years, the investment on wheels will grow by almost "20 times". In other words Ecofresh Heat Wheels provide Return on Investment of nearly 200% p.a. for the project.

BOMBA

Uniforms and other materials are stored at Bomba Station in containerised stores.

These items are in contact with water during use and also may carry various debris on them. As a result, fungus/algae can grow very fast on these surfaces. Moist air provides ideal atmosphere for growth of such microbes.

Use of Bry-Air Dehumidifiers has provided dry storage conditions and protected the items against damage due to microbial attack.

Malaysia- PUTRAJAYA : Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden is specially designed to reflect a world-class botanical garden which the nation can be proud of. Located at the main northern entrance to the Government Precinct, this Botanical Garden with an area about 85 hectares, consists of thousands of local plants species. It will also have an ornamental garden for the display of various plants species.

The primary concern in seed storage is to protect the seed from damage by fire, water, insects, and rodents. Seeds are commonly stored for consumption or processing in future, however, seeds must also be preserved for sowing at a later date or for genetic experiments. When stored for such purposes, the seeds must also be protected from loss in germination potential.

To preserve the seeds, it is essential to lower the moisture content to around 5 per cent, thereby limiting their deterioration. Drying of seeds at elevated temperatures destroys their germination potential.

Bry-Air Seed Dryers, based on the state-of-the-art Desiccant Dehumidification Drying Technology, dry the seeds to the required level in approximately eight(8) hours without affecting their quality.

Dried seeds can thus be stored in dehumidified stores without loss of germination potential.
